Expectations of Students.
E-policy.
When you are in class and working on the computer, it's your job to stay on task. Even though the digital world offers many temptations, you must resist. No texting, Skyping, surfing, etc.
During group discussions, keep your laptop screen at half-mast.
We will be contacting teachers, staff, parents and other adults by email. Be courteous.
Use a salutation (Dear Mr. or Ms.----), spell check, write in full sentences, and sign off (Sincerely, your full name).
Be positive and courteous in your blog and other web communications. You sometimes will be asked to offer critique, but use the terms and elements we discuss in class, and keep it professional.
Visiting Policy
During class and during any of your free time, you may enter classrooms or attend other activities. Always ask permission, give them your name, and be discreet.
Camera Policy
If you plan to use your own camera, bring it to every class charged. Carry it everywhere with you--become one with your camera. Bring your camera's USB cable to class, or a card reader.
